The riyal, and Doha time
QAR and Asia/Qatar are supported organization settings, applied to every document, report, and salary run. Money is stored as exact integers rather than floating-point decimals, so totals reconcile after a year rather than drifting by a riyal at a time.
Tax fields, whether or not you owe tax
Qatar had not introduced a general VAT as of September 2026. Ameen still records a tax number for each customer and supplier and still applies tax per invoice line, because the customer across the Gulf who does owe VAT needs their registration number and a per-line breakdown on the document you send them.
What Ameen does not do
Ameen files nothing and connects to no government portal. It does not claim statutory compliance in Qatar or anywhere else. What it does is keep an auditable bilingual record: who ordered what, what left which warehouse, what was posted to which account, and what each employee was paid.
